Ketamine andKetamine Assisted Psychotherapy
Ketamine, Psilocybin, MDMA, Ayahuasca, Ibogaine and LSD have all experienced a spike in interest as the global mental health crisis has accelerated.
This is not something you should do on your own, whether microdosing, finding a local “church” or by going outside of the country for a spiritual retreat.
If you do want to try this form of exploration my suggestion would be to talk to an experienced provider to see if ketamine infusions would be appropriate. The body of knowledge from a mental health treatment perspective is exploding.
At the same time, there are a lot of charlatans and profit motivated organizations that you should avoid.
Reasons:
1. The correct therapeutic dose can take some experimentation and even that may require some adjustment
2. The clinic should have trained medical professionals who can intervene in a crisis
3. Ketamine infusions alone are not enough.
4. Therapy should always be considered at each stage of the journey
Being in a foreign country, over “medicated”, without a crash cart cannot be a fun experience. Have heard plenty or stories about being over medicated where very little care is given to get the dose right.
Lastly, no journey of this type should be pursued without an experienced therapist who can help re-integrate the thoughts, emotions and memories that surface during the infusion.

Talk to an experienced medical professional and put together a multidisciplinary team can coordinate your treatment. Take a minute to write an introduction that is short, sweet, and to the point.
